As most followers of ACT! will know already, 2012 is to designated by the UN as The International Year of Co-operatives.

ACT! welcomes this tremendous recognition of the contribution of co-operatives to the economy and society globally. It is an opportunity to be seized for co-operatives throughout the world to demonstrate the advantages of the co-operative model including their commitment to combating climate change and to promoting the generation and use of renewable energy alternatives to fossil fuels. We will keep you posted as we learn of co-operatives' plans for 2012.
